Preschoolers come to visit

Last week Wednesday we had Te Pahu Pre-school come and visit us. What a great time we had. Our tamariki had a great time seeing their pre-school friends.

Mrs May read us a poem about caterpillars, then we moved around the classroom like caterpillars. We then colored in our own caterpillars.

We had a great time!

Our inquiry this term is to look into wind and solar power...
We made Smoors, and cooked them in our solar oven (which we made).
They tasted delicious!

Make me a letter!

Our Term has started off with going over some of the letters we have learnt over the last two terms. There were 8 stations, each station had a different material. The tamariki used their creativity to make a letter with the materials... Take a look!

Choosing time...

At certain times, its a good chance to remember that we are 5.
We are learning to discuss, solve problems and be a KID!
What fantastic imagination I have observed today!

What a busy first half of term!

These first few weeks have flown by!
You may have noticed that our beautiful caterpillars outside of Ruma Tui have left their chrysalis' and spread their beautiful wings. We have been observing them and have now created our own Monarch butterflies, take a look...

On Friday's we buddy read with Ruma Piwakawaka and Ruma Kokako. This is fantastic opportunity to build relationships with the other classes and build their love for reading.

Keep your eyes peeled for our next blog, which showcases our trip to the Hamilton museum
and our stories.

Have a great week!
